How to disable the startup sound in Windows 11

Follow the steps below to turn off the default startup sound effect of your Windows computer:

  1. Press Windows key + I to open the Settings.
  2. From the Settings menu, go to the Personalization section.
  3. Select the Themes option.
  4. Click on Sounds.
  5. In the Sound dialog box, uncheck the ‘Play Windows Startup Sound’ radio box.
